PROJECTS

INDIA – CHER works a large number of schools in India under the care of the Southern Asia Division of Seventh-day Adventists.  This is a large project with over 250 students receiving an education through sponsorship.

MALAWI – CHER has worked for many years with two separate projects in Malawi.  One is Yamikani House Ltd., a small orphanage, with 18 sponsored children.  The remaining 38 children sponsored in Malawi belong to a school under the Malawi Union of Seventh-day Adventists.

PHILIPPINES – CHER sponsors children in many schools in the Negros Occidental Conference, as well as an Adventist school in the remote Mindanao mountain area.

BRAZIL – CHER sponsors children in Lar De Meninas , which is a hostel for abandoned girls.  These girls, sometimes as young as 2 years old, have been physically or sexually abused, neglected or abandoned. This hostel provides them with a loving environment where they can live and go to school.  Many of the children are adopted into new homes.

BANGLADESH – CHER is happy to sponsor many children in a variety of schools belonging to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  The church actively uses education to bring children and their families to Christ.

SRI LANKA – The Lakpahana Adventist College is the first school that CHER sponsored children with.   The mission statement of the school is to prepare students for service to God and their fellowman.
