INDIA – CHER works a large number of schools in India under the care of the Southern Asia Division of Seventh-day Adventists. This is a large project with over 250 students receiving an education through sponsorship.
MALAWI – CHER has worked for many years with two separate projects in Malawi. One is Yamikani House Ltd., a small orphanage, with 18 sponsored children. The remaining 38 children sponsored in Malawi belong to a school under the Malawi Union of Seventh-day Adventists.
PHILIPPINES – CHER sponsors children in many schools in the Negros Occidental Conference, as well as an Adventist school in the remote Mindanao mountain area.
BRAZIL – CHER sponsors children in Lar De Meninas , which is a hostel for abandoned girls. These girls, sometimes as young as 2 years old, have been physically or sexually abused, neglected or abandoned. This hostel provides them with a loving environment where they can live and go to school. Many of the children are adopted into new homes.
BANGLADESH – CHER is happy to sponsor many children in a variety of schools belonging to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church actively uses education to bring children and their families to Christ.
SRI LANKA – The Lakpahana Adventist College is the first school that CHER sponsored children with. The mission statement of the school is to prepare students for service to God and their fellowman.
