Title

The Avanigadda SDA English School in South Andhra Pradesh, India is located in a coastal area beside the Bay of Bengal where most of the people are fishermen and agricultural laborers, earning less than $1 a day. The community is mostly orthodox idol worshipers. Avanigadda was affected by a tidal wave in 1977 when thousands died and in Tsunami of 2005. The people and economy have not yet been able to recover from the loss of livestock and homes. The principal of Avanigadda strives daily to reach the impoverished, malnourished and uneducated families around his community. It is vital that we get these impoverished children into a sponsorship program so that they may receive an education, food, and medical care.
